Louisiana Redfish Up Close and Personal!!

My 5 year old son and I smoked the redfish yesterday. They were in 6" to 1' of water and they were in schools of up to 20 fish in the 3-10lb class. And not to mention they were chompin on our baits. Most fish caught within 10' of the boat with weedless Zoom flukes dropped on their noses. And anyone who redfishes know what happens when you snatch a hook with braided line 10' from the boat into a 10lb redfish. He heads for the next county.
We kept 6 reds and released around 30 more fish in 3 hours time. What a great fishery we have in Lousiana. oh yes then we even netted 18 monster crabs for supper in the same ponds the redfish were in. My son was on crab alert the whole time we were fishing so he wanted to enjoy some crabbing. We had a blast.
