Just listened to the "Fisherman" song by Casey Ashley - It was GREAT. Also, "Can't catch a fish . . . . . . ." is a real catchy song also.
Enjoyed both of them. Must say though that I"m like Capt. Hiott, "I listen to the voices in my head when Im fishing by myself". Although that's not very often with the price of gas these days.

Loads of Bob Seger, VH, Sammy, Rockin Blues...
Just good happy music, mostly classic rock.
Of course I am a old fart so that is what goes.

On my way to my boat each day I drive 33 miles so I have a lot of time to listen to Frank Zappa. He gets my day started, filling my head with thoughts I can recount at any time. It prepares me for any kind of customer. During the fishing i never play any music. It would interrupt the sounds of the sea against the hull of the boat, the sea birds talking to each other, and the whales. There is too much that my visitors want to hear of the natural sounds on the sea. After the day and I am on my way back home it is time to slow down so some Yanni, or Norah jones is good, or if I am still a little jazzed some Eric Clapton, George Harrison or Steve Vai will do. I too like Swelly am an old fart who grew up with the REAL ROCK when it said something and related a feeling. Nothing is better than a Rolling Stones song about nasty behavior (and girls) or some past moment of complete abandon during the 60's. We do live on. When I die I want an iPod on my ears with a wire to the headstone so visitors can download new tunes into my grave, perhaps solar powered, and maybe a video of days in my life to share with them.
