From anyone who owns one, would you please let me know how you like it? I would like to know both the good and the bad. I plain on using the unit both off of my trolling motor and the transom.

The hummingbird side finder looks like a good fish finder.
Heres what it looks like for example when you find a school of fish

I unfortunately don't use a hummingbird but I only hear good things about them. Are you getting a 997C unit?
