The North Branch Susky is definitely in post spawn but we are still catching pretty good numbers. I fished with Steve and Jimmy on Thursday. We caught 40
+ fish on spinner baits and probably missed another 20. The smallies were just swiping at the bait for most of the day and then for no reason would just hammer them. They are also in a very acrobatic mood lately making it hard to get the big ones to the boat. Steve's goal was to boat a fish over 19" and earn himself a PA angler award. He had the opportunity at least 3 times with no success, lots of exiting action but all three managed to throw his bait followed by a well deserved expletive. I treated them to an hour on my private lake after the river to heal his wounds and we caught 25+ greenies with a couple of 4s thrown in the mix. We had a great time and I'm pretty sure I will be seeing them again soon, he really wants that certificate. Heres some nice ones.
